Quick Navigation
Season structure, playoff eligibility, and match procedures
1.1 — The League runs September through June, active 5 PM to 3 AM EST, Tuesday through Sunday.
GMs are responsible for sending rosters, team names, and brand logos to the Admins by the deadline.
1.2 — The season is 3 weeks long and consists of 21 games, with each team following a computer-generated schedule.
Minimum 21 games played is required to be eligible for playoffs. No exceptions — miss the 21 and you're out of money contention. 💰
1.3 — Each team is required to play every other team exactly 2 times. You cannot play a team more than 2 times.
1.4 — 3 forfeit losses (🚨🚨🚨) disqualifies a team from the playoffs.
With an 8–10 man roster, there is no excuse for missing regular season or playoff games. A no-show on the court results in an automatic forfeit.
1.5 — The winning team must screenshot the box scores and post them under the BOX SCORES tab in Discord, with both team names, within 24 hours of the game.
If the screenshot is not posted within 24 hours, stats will not count for the winning team — only the box score.
1.6 — Every team has a 15-minute grace period before and after a scheduled game time.
1.7 — All GMs must lock in a time frame in #gms-chat or direct messages.
If a GM's team doesn't show for a series, it counts as a forfeit. The opposing team must show proof they were waiting — stream up, plus a screenshot after the 15-minute grace period showing all 5 team members in the gym. 4 players visible is not enough — the series may be rescheduled at Admin discretion.
All games must be logged in the scheduling tab, including last-minute unscheduled ones. Once posted, you have 15 minutes.
1.8 — A forfeit may apply to a single game or the entire series, at the discretion of the Commissioner and Admins.
1.9 — If a player mid-series has to step away, it is the opposing GM's discretion whether to accept the win or continue play.
Team registration, GM fees, fines, and the strike system
2.1 — Team registration fee includes an 8-man roster for $60 and a 10-man roster for $70. A GM can add a player for $5 each.
2.2 — GMs are charged $5 for roster changes and $5 for name changes.
2.3 — GMs can PayPal @paulcuthbert1459 or Zelle (646) 361-0059.
2.4 — All payments must be screenshotted with a note telling the Admins what the payment is for.
2.5 — GMs have full control of their team and may make any changes they see fit. A team must consist of no fewer than 5 players and no more than 10 players. Rosters are final after the first game is played, and any additions incur a $5 fee.
During Week 3 on Wednesday, team rosters close — no further changes, including name changes. Any player caught changing their name without admin consent will not be eligible for the upcoming playoff games.
2.6 — Only GMs can buy additional roster spots or pay for anything for their team.
2.7 — If a GM hasn't paid for a new roster spot (nothing posted in the Proof of Payment tab) but plays a game anyway before clearing the payment with Admins, that game is an automatic forfeit for the GM's team.
2.8 — No GM may run to another team during the season. Every GM agreed with Admins that their team would stay active, and we hold every GM to that expectation.
2.9 — If a GM violates league policy 2 times, they are kicked out of the league for good.
2.10 — If a GM's team is caught not following the mandatory rules, fines escalate by offense:
1st offense — WARNING ⚠️
2nd offense — $10 fine.
3rd offense — $15 fine.
4th (final) offense — $20 fine, and team stats may not count for that game or series.
2.11 — Each infraction earns a strike, marked by a 🚨 siren next to your team name. The only way to remove it is to pay your team fines in full. Fines range from $10 to $20. If unpaid, games and stats will not count.
2.12 — All fines must be paid before entering a new WWL season. Players or teams with pending fines will not be able to apply.
2.13 — All transactions are final. If you did something to jeopardize your team's chances of winning money, it's on the GM. Please read the rules before agreeing to WWL policies.
Post-game requirements for the winning GM
The winning GM must post the following immediately after the game:
A screenshot of the final score screen.
A screenshot of the full stat sheet.
Maintaining a professional playing environment
Courts must be clear, readable, and visually balanced.
No flashing, blinding, or seizure-inducing courts. Keep it professional for all games and streams.
In-game rules and restrictions
Rhythm Shooting (shot timing) is banned.
Only 1 player at 7'4" height is allowed on the court per team.
Bring Your Own Team roster restrictions
No WWL COLLEGE roster may have more than 2 members from the same BYOT or consecutive OVN team on their WWL COLLEGE roster.
Any breakage of this rule will result in an automatic suspension and a forfeit (FF) overturn of any games played with that illegal lineup.
Grace period, FF limits, and scheduling cutoffs
Grace Period: teams have 15 minutes after the scheduled game time to show up with the required number of players.
First No-Show: results in a warning and an automatic forfeit loss.
Second No-Show (same season): the team's GM is fired from GM duties for future seasons and players are reviewed by league staff.
Reporting No-Shows: the opposing team must provide proof — stream screenshots, chat timestamps, or staff verification.
Any games not locked between both teams before 8:30 PM EST will either be FF'd for the team with more scheduling efforts, or a game time will be locked by WWL staff.
WWL FF Limit — each team is permitted a maximum of 5 FF losses per season:
1 FF = First Warning.
2 FF = Second Warning.
3 FF = $5 Fine.
4 FF = $10 Fine.
5 FF = Disqualification from playoffs. No room for discussion.
Roster integrity, toxicity, and scheduling
Roster Integrity: only players drafted or picked up in free agency are allowed to play.
If a non-rostered player participates, that team forfeits the current game and any previous games that player played in.
Competitive trash talk is allowed, but must never get personal, discriminatory, or cross into threats or harassment.
Toxicity violations will result in suspension or ban at staff discretion.
All Head Coaches must communicate directly to schedule games. Scheduling announcements and updates will be posted by WWL Staff.
Fair play enforcement
Cheating or exploits of any kind will not be tolerated.
The use of Zens, Titans, Cronus, strike packs, or any third-party device or software that provides a gameplay advantage is strictly prohibited.
Any player or team caught using, assisting, or benefiting from these devices will receive an immediate ban from all current and future WWL COLLEGE events.
If you suspect a player or team of cheating, submit proof (clips, screenshots, or VODs) to WWL staff privately for review. Verified reports will result in instant disciplinary action.
WWL ADMINISTRATION reserves the right to investigate and remove any player found violating competitive integrity standards.
All decisions by WWL Administration regarding competitive integrity are final. Zero tolerance — no exceptions.
In-season signings, releases, and trades
Each team starts the season with $20 of cap space (fake money) for transactions.
Signing Fee: $2 per signing.
Release Fee: $1 per release.
Trade Fee: $4 per trade.
Once a team reaches maximum cap space, they are locked out of further transactions for the remainder of the season.
Each team is allotted 3 emergency signings per season, used when a rostered player becomes unavailable mid-season.
How players qualify for the draft
All registered players in good standing are eligible for the draft pool.
Private Workouts give coaches a chance to evaluate prospects before Draft Day.
Trolling, quitting, or throwing during evaluation games will result in a suspension or fine at staff discretion.
The full competitive journey
Before Draft Day, private, invite-only runs are organized by coaching staff. Elevate your performance and stand out to earn one of these highly coveted invitations.
Once the pro-am draft begins, registration and private workouts officially close. The draft goes live, and every head coach announces their selections live for players and fans to witness and react to in real time.
The Regular Season consists of three BO3 series per week, spanning two weeks for a total of six BO3 series. In the middle of the season, the WWL All-Star Game takes place with numerous cash prizes awarded to outstanding performers.
